Writing what you love is important if you want readers to love your books.
My aim is to write stories I love, that inspire readers and draw them into the worlds I create, whether that’s in contemporary or fantasy romance, epic fantasy or sci-fi fantasy fiction. These are all genres I love reading and writing, and as I grow as an author, my contributions to these genres will hopefully grow too.
My guarantee to you is I’ll always focus on writing stories full of heart, real people, and immersive settings, no matter the genre.
My Story
I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember (cliché I know), but I’ve been at it professionally since 2016 when I established a hybrid publishing company. I’ve been ghostwriting since then, with 20 novels under my belt, though with the nature of ghostwriting being what it is, I can’t claim the work as my own and there are stories I want to tell that I want to claim. So here I am.
I’m South African born and bred, living in Johannesburg with a menagerie of animals, working as a practice manager for a therapeutic massage practice, a freelance admin assistant, and writing in every spare moment.
I’ve worked as a teacher, in engineering, document control and accounting, and in all the jobs I’ve held, time and again I return to writing. Chasing Dreams Publishing was born from my passion for promoting writing as a career, and I was privileged to be able to work on several projects under the CDP name before handing it over to my former business partner.
When I’m not writing, I’m involved in amateur musical theatre, tabletop roleplaying, multiplayer Minecraft, painting and art, and of course, devouring stacks of books across multiple genres.
